Ugh. Events like this make me wish I lived in Seattle. I would LOVE attending an evening like this, but sadly we don't have anything even similar around me. Please enjoy for me? I can't wait to at least hear your recap/review of it.

I can't wait to hear your take on Simon's book Melody - I'm moving through it slower than I'd like, but that's in part because it's giving me a lot to think about.

As for the news on Elliott Bay Books - that's sad to hear. I'll be out in Seattle in March and that's always one of my favorite stops.

Oh, I bought this book from reading a blurb on SG or somewhere else....I thought it was right on the mark by the end.

BTW...Elliot Bay Books is moving to Capitol Hill? They are well involved in the remodel of the new place. Melissa Allison (@coffeecity) has posted several stories about it: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/businesstechnology/2010467342_elliottbay10.html

I admired you for standing in what you believe in. I hope more people will respond to your call to save Elliot Bay Books!
